Now that you know where we knit and when we knit, it's time to know who we are. We are a mixed bag of "nuts"! You have the young (17yrs old) and you have the mature ( 70+) and you have the in betweens (40 - 50 ish). From a young woman who will be going into the service right out of high school, single women, married women, women who are in relationships, nana's & grandmothers, mother's, women w/pets, women w/o pets, some own their own businesses, some trying, some looking for new jobs, and some retired.
We are a mixed bag of "nuts". We have given ourselves "knitting" names. Let's see...we have:
Pearl - 18 year old young woman going into our Armed Service in a few months
Jen-The Ripper - 25 year old young woman and designer of Tee-Shirts
Skeink-30+ single, working mom of a teenage boy
Yarn Ho(hoarder) - New 40, married mom and owner of her own soap business
Frau Castor - New 40ish, single woman looking to re-cast herself into a new career
Knit-Knit Nagger-70+ married mom/grandmother, who has retired and takes great care of her family
Liz (no knit name yet!) - 18 year old beautiful young woman, just starting college and going into a Law Enforcement Career
Yoda-Nana - 51year old, in a relationship and trying to start her own business.
So, there you have it, a group of women from one spectrum to the other, getting together on Wednesday evenings on the Piscataqua River, on a boat to knit.
Tune in and get to know us better, get to know what projects we finish, don't finish, our lives and how knitting on Wednesday's is not just about knitting.
